VSL#3 is a patented preparation of live freeze-dried, lactic acid
bacteria, developed to provide the optimal concentration and
types of healthy bacteria for the gastrointestinal tract.

VSL#3 is different from other probiotic therapies in the high
concentration of bacteria, the number and types of bacterial
strains, and the growing body of clinical evidence which
supports its use in a variety of gastrointestinal disorders.

Each packet contains at least 450 billion colony forming units
(CFU) of bacteria from 8 beneficial strains.

VSL #3 is exclusively available only on ePharmacy, and can't
be found in any pharmacy

This item will be sent individually via express post for $7.00.
Due to the nature of this product no other service can be used and this product is exempt of a postage discount.

As this is a refigerated item we are only able to send the parcel
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
Any orders placed after 12pm AEST on Wednesdays will be
sent the following Monday.

Please note: We highly suggest someone present when
delivery is being made. Due to the refrigerated nature of VSL #3
it will not be carded and therefore left at the shipping
address.

Unfortunately due to the nature of this product, it is only
available to Australian residents

VSL#3 should be stored in the refrigerator (2-8 degrees
Celcius). If unavoidable, VSL#3 can be kept out of the refrigerator at room
temperature for short periods of time. If it is stored at room
temperature for more than 1 week, or exposed to prolonged
high temperatures, the microorganisms in VSL#3 may become
inactivated and can lose their effect.

VSL#3 will be delivered to you in an insulated pack in order to
prevent it from becoming over heated during transit. It is not
unusual for the cool pack and product to appear warm on
delivery. Please place VSL#3 in the refrigerator as soon as
possible.

The usual quantity is 1 to 2 sachets per day.

However, the amount required can vary from person to person
and is dependent on person’s lifestyle and medical history.
You may find at times that the amount may change. Adjust the
amount as necessary and see which amount works best for you.

VSL#3 can be taken in a variety of ways.

VSL#3 may be dissolved in water or added to yoghurt or fruit
juice.

VSL#3 may be prepared with food/water that is at room
temperature or below, or has been refrigerated.

VSL#3 must be consumed as soon as possible after it has been
mixed.

Do not prepare VSL#3 with any food/liquid that is warmer than
room temperature (i.e. hot tea, soup, etc).

Do not dissolve VSL#3 in carbonated liquids.

Each packet contains at least 450 billion colony forming units
(CFU) of bacteria from 8 beneficial strains.

There are 8 beneficial strains of bacteria present in VSL#3. These
include:

4 strains of lactobacilli
(L. casei, L. plantarum,L. acidophilus, and L.delbrueckii
subspecies bulgaricus);

3 strains of bifidobacteria
(B. longum, B. breve, and B. infantis);

1 strain of streptococcus
(S. salivarius subspecies thermophilus).

These strains were chosen for their
synergy (co-operative activity) and capability to colonise the
lower intestine.

In addition, these bacterial strains are a normal part of the
human gut flora.
