FLO Xylo-POS® is a sterile, preservative-free decongestant nasal spray designed to relieve nasal congestion and runny nose caused by:

- Colds & flu
- Rhinitis
- Sinusitis
- Hayfever

FLO Xylo-POS® contains the active decongestant ingredient Xylometazoline Hydrochloride (1mg/mL) which acts quickly to reduce congestion and lasts for up to 10 hours.

Most other medicated decongestant nasal sprays contain a preservative called Benzalkonium Chloride. Unwanted nasal side effects have been associated with this chemical, including nasal swelling, stinging and burning. FLO Xylo-POS® is preservative-free, and should be your only choice when purchasing a medicated decongestant nasal spray.

Because FLO Xylo-POS® is medicated, only use it for a few days at a time and consult your physician if symptoms persist.

Always use FLO Saline+Plus® (non-medicated, preservative-free nasal saline spray) after FLO Xylo-POS® to wash away mucus and irritants to keep your nose clean and clear. This will help minimise nasal swelling and re-start the body's own clearing mechanisms.

FLO Xylo-POS® is indicated to provide relief of nasal congestion and runny nose caused from the following conditions:

Colds & Flu
Even a simple cold damages the nasal lining. This in turn effects the normal mucus clearing systems within the nose and often causes swelling — which makes you feel snuffly and congested.

Rhinitis
Rhinitis simply means inflammation of nasal tissue. This usually results in a runny or blocked nose. Rhinitis is most commonly experienced as a result of allergy - due to pollens, dust, moulds or animals. It can also be caused by Benzalkonium Chloride (a preservative contained in most nasal sprays) as this ingredient aggravates nasal swelling.

Sinusitis
Sinusitis simply means inflammation of the sinus cavities. This mostly effects the sinuses underneath the eyes, alongside the bridge of the nose and over the eyebrows. The symptoms of sinusitis include facial pain (including pressure behind the eyes and/or tooth ache), fever and blocked nose. Pressure will often increase when bending forwards. Sinusitis can also occur after a cold or flu, or may even be caused from the tissue swelling as a result of allergy.

Use FLO Xylo-POS® to help unblock your nose quickly, and help you breathe more easily. Also consider using FLO Sinus Care (non-medicated, preservative-free sinus wash) after FLO Xylo-POS® to effectively flush away mucus and irritants still remaining in your sinus cavities. This combination of preservative-free products will help reduce sinus congestion and the symptoms of Sinusitis.

If symptoms of facial pain and fever persist, consult your physician as antibiotic therapy may also be necessary.

Hayfever
The usual symptoms of hayfever include sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, itchy & watery eyes, cough, and asthma in more severe cases.

Use FLO Xylo-POS? to help unblock your nose quickly, and help you breathe more easily.

Also consider using FLO Saline+Plus® (non-medicated, preservative-free nasal saline spray) after FLO Xylo-POS® to help wash away allergy causing pollens. Regular use of FLO Saline+Plus® will help minimise nasal congestion as the body no longer needs to produce an allergic reaction. Frequent flushing is recommended to ensure the symptoms associated with Hayfever are kept to a minimum.

You might also benefit from other medication (nasal steroids or antihistamines) as these drugs will reduce the severity of the symptoms of hayfever. Consult your physician for further information and advice on this treatment.
