MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

With our Closer to Nature PPSU baby bottle, switching between breast and bottle feeding has never been simpler. Made from polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), a medical grade, naturally amber-toned plastic, these baby bottles are highly durable, and heat-resistant and won't retain odours or stains left behind by breast milk or formula. Due to the highly resilient nature of the bottle material, these baby bottles are ideal for regular use and can withstand frequent sterilisation.
Made from super soft, resilient silicone, this bottle teat features a matt texture that feels closer to skin for complete comfort at feeding time. Designed with breastfeeding experts, our baby bottle teats are shaped like a breast because babies prefer it that way. The patented ripple design allows the teat to mimic the natural flex, stretch and movement of a mum's breast to support in the transition between breast and bottle.
Featuring an Easi-vent valve that reduces excessive air flow, so little ones ingest more milk and less air, preventing symptoms of colic. Together with the bottle's sensitive valve, the wide bottle neck encourages your baby's intuitive feeding action. Designed to be held in the most natural position during feeding, the compact shape of the bottle also allows baby to be closer to you.
The wide neck bottle makes cleaning easy, and the bottles are suitable for use in the dishwasher, microwave and steam sterilisers. Simply unscrew your baby bottle into three parts for easy cleaning and sterilising.
Which flow rate do I need?
We offer different flow rates to keep up with your growing baby. Every baby is different but as a guide we suggest slow flow for 0+months, medium flow for 3+ months and fast flow for 6+ months. Closer to Nature teats are only compatible with Closer to Nature bottles.
How often should I replace the bottle teats?
We recommend changing your bottle teats every two months. And you should change them immediately if they're damaged, weak or have been bitten by tiny teeth.
