MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

General Information
HAPPi Day Stage 1 is Australia’s first infant formula, nutritionally adapted for daytime use.
Designed to be used together, HAPPi Day and Night premium infant formulas offer a nutritionally complete milk system to meet the changing nutritional needs of your growing baby.
For 0 to 6 months old it is recommended to use HAPPi Day Infant Formula between 5am – 5pm and HAPPi Night Infant Formula between 5pm – 5am. Please consult feeding guide and directions for use for each product.

Directions
Between 5pm and 5am HAPPi Night Infant Formula is recommended. Please see HAPPi Night Infant Formula feeding guide and directions for use. This table is a guide only. Your baby may need more or less than indicated. One level scoop = 8.8g. Add one scoop to 60 mL to make 67 mL of prepared feed.
Preparation Instructions
Step 1: Always wash hands before preparing formula. Wash and rinse bottle and all utensils thoroughly. Use only the enclosed scoop. Step 2: Boil fresh potable water and allow to cool until lukewarm. Step 3: Consult the feeding table. Pour the exact amount of warm, previously boiled water into sterilised bottle. Step 4: Fill the measuring scoop with formula powder and level off using the inner rim of the can. Step 5: Always add 1 level scoop (8.8g of powder) for each 60ml of water in the feeding table. Place cap on bottle. Shake or swirl until powder dissolves. If required, cool the prepared formula by holding the bottle under cold running water. Step 6: Before feeding, make sure the prepared formula is at the right temperature by testing on your wrist. If prepared formula is not consumed immediately, store refrigerated and use within 24 hours.
Storage Instructions
Store in a cool dry place below 25°C. Remove foil seal completely and keep sealed with plastic lid. Use the contents of the can within 4 weeks of opening.
