MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

New favourite toothpaste
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a new found love in this toothpaste. The toothpaste has a mild and pleasant minty flavour and creates the perfect amount of foam when brushing. After using for a week, my teeth were noticeably whiter after brushing. After brushing my mouth felt cleaner and fresher. I will be buying this toothpaste again.

This Oral-B toothpaste is actually really great – it leaves the teeth feeling really smooth and clean and has the added bonus of tasting like a pleasant mouthwash so I can feel like I used mouthwash when when I don’t have time to! I’m not sure about the whitening effectiveness but given I currently live off a combination of Chai lattes and red wine perhaps it is more of a counteraction ha ha! Will bye if I see it in the shops

Definitely noticed the fuzzy feeling on my teeth stayed away almost all day, much longer than with other tooth pastes. Very fresh after-taste and after 1 week, my teeth were atleast a shade whiter!

This whitening toothpaste really works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really did like this toothpaste because it leaves your teeth shiny cleaner and a degree whiter. I suppose the longer you use it the better the result. I did find it had a strange taste initially, something that reminded me of lignocaine or cloves but I don't notice this so much now. I do notice how much cleaner your teeth feel and for much longer. So overall a very good product and I would most definately consider this Oral -B 3D toothpaste again. A first choice when buying tooth paste. Something that finally does what is says it will

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first started using Oral-B 3D White Long Lasting Freshness Toothpaste I was a little bit taken back by the strong smell of the toothpaste (it almost took my breath away it was quite overpowering), however after using it for a number of weeks I don't even notice the smell of it now. The toothpaste definitely leaves your mouth feeling refreshed and clean. It does a great job of cleaning my teeth, but I really don't think that my teeth are any whiter than what they were when I first started using it.

After the first three days I started using it once a day, and was still a noticeable change after the seven days. I am satisfied that this toothpaste works well, however, I believe that there needs to be some more effort from the person using to keep that noticeable change.

It leaves a refreshing and clean taste in your mouth. I know it’s not a professional teeth whitener with UV light but I was a little let down with the whitening aspect. It says notice whitening within 7 days of use, honestly my teeth look the same or if there was slight whitening it is not noticeable. However still happy with the freshness and clean feeling it provides.

Great flavour and whitening effect

The taste was pleasant and noticed within a few days of using the product that any yellow colouring was disappearing. The minty effect of the toothpaste was noticeable following use as well. Will continue to use this product in the future.

Fresh tasting toothpaste
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oral-B is my preferred brand for toothpaste. The 3-D white toothpaste features a cute sparkling green and white paste, which leaves the mouth tingling just the right amount after brushing. The taste is like spearmint chewing gum and the packaging clever is standing up on its flat top, presumably deploying toothpaste towards the opening through gravity’s pull. Unfortunately I can’t see any whitening benefits yet. It’s only been 7 days though and I will gladly persevere. The most effective whitening products I have used involved long contact times and a require avoidance of caffeine and red wine so this toothpaste is much easier on lifestyle and my expectations of performance are low.
