MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

General Information
SuperFade Treatment Cream is a medicated, pharmacy strength skin treatment to help fade pigmentation, such as age spots, freckles and brown skin blemishes on the hands and body. It contains a powerful active ingredient Hydroquinone (2%), for fighting pigmentation at the source. You should see effective results in 6 weeks.
Proudly owned and made in Australia, SuperFade Treatment Cream is designed with the harsh Australian climate in mind to address common skin complaints that are a direct result of over exposure to the sun. As the sunburnt country, it is no wonder most Australian women have unwanted pigmentation. It is not just limited to the face, many women find the sun loving years of youth have caught up with them, and are now showing pigmentation on their hands, arms, and décolletage.
Superfade Treatment Cream for hands and body and Superfade Face Treatment Cream are the only non-prescription pharmacy medicines in Australia that contain the powerful active ingredient Hydroquinone (2%).
Hydroquinone is the gold standard in pigmentation fading and works by disabling the damaged melanocyte deep in the skin that produces excess melanin which then forms the brown pigment on the surface of the skin.
SuperFade Treatment Cream should be applied to the affected area only as it is specifically formulated for fighting pigmentation at the source. Results should begin to appear in just 6 weeks of regular and consistent use.

Warnings

Directions
Apply sparingly only into areas to be treated only twice daily and at bedtime. After desired fading is obtained use only as necessary to maintain results. Before commencing treatment, test for allergic reaction over 24 hours with small patch of cream on inside of upper arm.
Then apply your moisturiser or hand cream if you use one.
Avoid exposure to the sun. Use SPF 30+ sunscreen on any exposed areas.
Tip as suggested by dermatologists: if you have sensitive skin then start treatment at night only, using every second night for a week, then proceed to use ever night for a week and then begin to use morning and night and as directed.
