MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Our Medicated range contains a double action active that is clinically trialled to kill head lice and their eggs.
KP24 Medicated breaks the nit life cycle by killing the lice and their eggs quickly and effectively.
Our Medicated range is particularly suitable for severe head lice cases to ensure all head lice and their eggs are eradicated.
KP24 has been trusted by families for generations to treat head lice effectively.
Pour onto dry hair. Use enough to thoroughly cover the scalp, including the back of the neck and behind the ears. Massage into a lather and well into the scalp for atleast 5 minutes. Leave on hair for 30 minutes. Do not allow the product to enter your eyes.
Rinse hair with warm water.
Remove all the eggs you can find after treatment using our KP24 Metal Tooth Comb and hair conditioner on wet or dry hair. Use the KP24 Lice Egg Remover to assist with removing the nits from the hair.
As a precaution, repeat treatment after 7 days to kill lice that have hatched from any remaining eggs that were not killed from the first treatment. Inspect hair every 7 days to ensure all lice are removed. Use KP24 Rapid Defence Spray to prevent from reinfestation.

Contains maldison 0.5% w/w
Directions
Pour KP24 medicated Lotion onto dry hair. Use enough to thoroughly cover scalp, massage well into the scalp to provide good contact with eggs. You should not need more than 25mL for shoulder length hair.
Allow to dry naturally. If you leave the lotion on for a minimum period of 12 hours it will provide you with a preventative effect from reinfestation. Remove all the eggs(nits) you can find after treatment.
Use KP24 fine tooth metal lice comb to remove eggs. As a precautionary measure repeat treatment after 7 days to remove any lice that have hatched since.
For external use only. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth and other delicate mebranes. If product gets into the eyes, flush with clean water immidiately. Do not use if pregnant or on babies under 6 months unless advised by the doctor. not to be swallowed. if skin irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
