MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Healthy Care Cod Liver Oil is a rich source of essential Vitamins A, D and Omega-3 fatty acids. Vitamin A is an essential antioxidant which helps maintain healthy skin and helps support healthy immune system function. Vitamin D helps calcium absorption into the bones. A diet deficient in calcium can lead to Osteoporosis in later life.

Product Claims: No added sucrose, glucose, yeast, lactose, gluten, wheat, corn salt, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Warnings
The recommended daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 700 micrograms retinol equivalents for women and 900 micrograms retinal equivalents for men.
If symptoms persist, seek the advice of a healthcare professional.
Vitamins can only be of assistance if the dietary vitamin intake is inadequate.
If you are pregnant, or considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.
When taken in excess of 3000 micrograms retinal equivalents (RE), vitamin A can cause birth defects.
Do not use if cap seal is broken.

Directions
Adults: Take 1 to 3 capsules once a day with a meal, or as
professionally prescribed.
Children 4 - 12 years: Take 1 capsule a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed.
Children under 4 years: Only as professionally prescribed.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Store below 30°C in a dry place away from heat and direct sunlight.

Great value for money
Cod Liver Oil is a product I rely upon due to an unavoidable dietary deficiency of Vitamin A, and oddly enough it's quite difficult to obtain these days. I was therefore very pleased to find this particular product at an affordable price and that the strength meets my needs.
