MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Neutrogena Beach Defence Spray forms a protective layer that helps to defend against the drying effects of the beach. With Helioplex it provides high broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection from the sun's most damaging rays.

- Lightweight, fast absorbing.
- Oil free.
- 4 hours water resistant.

Warnings
For external use only. Do not use on damaged or broken skin. Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes rinse thoroughly with water. Discontinue use and see a doctor if signs of irritation or rash appear. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed seek medical attention immediately. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear. Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents can harmful or fatal.
FLAMMABLE WARNING
Extremely flammable. Do not spray on a naked flame or any incandescent material. Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking. Keep out of reach of children. Pressurised dispenser. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C. Do not pierce or burn, even after use.
Ingredients
Active Ingredients: Homosalate 15% w/w, Octocrylene 6% w/w, Octyl Salicylate 5% w/w, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane 5% w/w.
Contains: Alcohol 59.07% w/w.
Directions
Shake well before and frequently during use. Do not apply in windy conditions. Apply to all exposed areas 15 to 20 minutes before sun exposure. Hold can 10-15 cm away from body and apply liberally, spraying slowly and evenly until product is visible on skin. Rub in tightly. Do not spray onto face. Spray on hands then apply to face evenly. Reapply frequently and after swimming, excessive perspiration, towelling on prolonged sun exposure. Use in well ventilated areas.
