MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Cabot Health Magnesium Ultra Potent Powder contains 4 different types of magnesium in powder form for quick and efficient absorption.
The Great Relaxer

Common Uses
Magnesium relieves headache symptoms

Ingredients
Each level metric teaspoon (5g dose) contains:
Taurine 1000 mg; Magnesium amino acid chelate (providing elemental magnesium 350 mg) 1750 mg; Magnesium ascorbate (providing elemental magnesium 13 mg) 210 mg; Magnesium glycinate dihydrate (providing elemental magnesium 12.2 mg) 104 mg; Magnesium phosphate pentahydrate (providing elemental magnesium 24.8 mg) 120 mg;
Total elemental magnesium 400 mg
Zinc (as amino acid chelate) 5 mg
Citrus flavour also contains malic acid, acacia, stevia, natural lemon flavour and natural lime flavour.
Directions
DOSAGE:
Adults: 1/4 -1 teaspoon daily, added to water or juice.

Better sleep, less cramps, less headaches
I was struggling a fair bit with generalised anxiety & frequent headaches & a friend recommended magnesium powder. Not this particular brand but I took a punt.
I take a teaspoon mixed well into a glass of water before bed every night and I have slept better, felt calmer & suffered far less headaches along with less muscle soreness after doing weights sessions. My husband, who suffers from poor sleep & frequent muscle cramps, has also jumped on board and reported almost no cramps and is definitely sleeping better. Such a simple addition to the daily routine with excellent results for both of us. It’s a staple in our sleep hygiene now. Highly recommend to anyone.
Hubby loves the taste but I find the last few mouthfuls unpleasant. Totally worth it though!

True to it’s claim Potent and Great relaxer
Sleepless nights, and muscle cramps are now a thing of the past I am more relaxed and much calmer in situations where in the past I would get quite agitated. It’s a natural remedy that is now part of my daily intake.

Best on the market
This is the only magnesium powder I will use. It's highly concentrated so you only need a teaspoon of it to feel the benefits almost immediately. It has a mild taste and dissolves quickly in water. Worth paying the price because it works so well.

I have been using Cabot’s Magnesium for a couple of years now. For me, this product has been a game changer. Formerly experiencing night cramps in my feet and legs, I now have a good night’s sleep with no sleep disturbance or discomfort resulting from cramps. The effectiveness of Cabot’s Magnesium was noticeable almost immediately I started taking it.
