MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Directions
Wind 45cm of Oral-B dental floss around middle fingers. Gently slide floss between teeth and under the gumline. Curving floss around the tooth, use an up-and-down motion to remove plaque and debris. Repeat between all teeth contacts, advancing floss to a clean section each time. Use separate length of floss for upper and lower teeth.

Essential name says it all.
Have been using this product as a daily flossing since having gum disease, works so well that I have had no recurrence of gum problems. Dispenser is easy to use and handy for travel as well.

As a matter of urgency, please bring back the 100m dispenser
Oral-B Essential floss is a great product. Since I cannot get the 100m dispenser anymore, I had to buy the 50m round dispenser. The floss is harder to pull out of the container and the container is just too small. Please bring back the 100m dispenser!

I like this floss the best. Have tried them all.
I have an auto immune disorder which leaves me with no saliva whatsoever. Flossing is a big part of my life. I have to do it after I eat anything. I've tried all the brands on the market, & keep on coming back to Oral B Essential. Its great in that it is nice & thin & gets between the teeth very easily. Great if your teeth are very close together, like mine are. Its a very reasonable cost. I usually buy the 2 pack of 50m. Works out cheaper that way. Even though I do love this product, I'm only giving it 4 stars because the quality of it varies from batch to batch. Sometimes it shreds slightly, sometimes not. I've never had any of it break apart & get stuck inbetween the teeth while flossing, so no emergency dental appts have been needed yet :) I've given up on trying other brands of floss from now on. Will keep on buying Oral B. It works for me.

Tape is not treaded through to the cutter so can’t use it
I bought a pack of 2 and one of them is unusable as far as I can see because there is no floss threaded out to the cutting edge. It is all inside the plastic container and I can’t see a way of opening it without breaking the dispenser. I didn’t keep the receipt (who would?) so can’t return. Please advise. Star rating indicative of issue.

Very disappointed. It’s not the same product anymore.
I bought a pack of oral B waxed floss couple weeks ago and was extremely disappointed. The product is not the same anymore. If the changes made was similar or better than the existing, I’m fine but it is not unfortunately. It is thin and slippery, so hard to use. I used to use oral B and have changed to Colgate purely because I have a lot of them left. When I’ve finally ran out of my Colgate floss I bought oral B. I will not purchase oral B again, sorry.

Irritating, frustrating extremely weak thin floss
Based on four different 50m mint essential dental floss I have encountered identical problems in each floss reel. The floss itself lacks any noticeable mint flavour, the floss normally breaks immediately any flossing action begins or shreds then breaks quickly thereafter.
