MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

Astragalus is an ancient herb, where the root has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to help support immune health and strengthen your Qi.
WHAT IS BIOGLAN ASTRAGALUS FOR?
Astragalus was first recorded in Shen Nong's Materia Medica 2000 years ago. The roots are considered among the most vital of Traditional Chinese Medicine tonics for energy, immune system and strengthening Qi.
WHY SHOULD I TAKE BIOGLAN ASTRAGALUS?
Traditionally used in TCM to help:
- Aid recovery after illness
- Maintain a healthy immune system
- Relieve fatigue and digestive discomfort
- Tonify the spleen (in TCM)
- As a Qi (vital energy) strengthening tonic
WHEN SHOULD I TAKE BIOGLAN ASTRAGALUS?
Adults may take 1 capsule daily for immune system maintenance
Two capsules may be taken daily for energy and supporting Qi.

Directions
Adults: Take 1 capsule daily for immune health.
Take 2 capsules daily for energy and Qi support.
If symptoms persist consult your healthcare practitioner. Not to be used in children under two years of age without medical advice. If diarrhoea persists for more than 6 hours in infants under 6 months ,12 hours in children under 3, 24 hours in children aged 3-6 years or 48 hours in adults and children over 6 years, seek medical advice

I was buying Astragalus in a herbal liquid form but my health didn’t react well to the alcohol in it so I’ve changed to this product & I’m happy to say I’m doing well.
