MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.

How to use and remove Polident MAX SEAL
Apply Polident adhesive once a day in short strips, not too close to denture edges.
Rinse mouth before inserting dentures.
Press dentures into place, hold firmly, and bite down for a few seconds to secure hold.
Swish mouth with warm water, then slowly remove denture using a rocking motion.
Remove adhesive residue from denture and mouth with warm water anda soft brush. Use Polident Cleanser to thoroughly clean your denture and then rinse with water.

Warnings
Keep out of sight and reach of children. A few individuals may be sensitive or allergic to this product. If you experience an allergic reaction or discomfort, discontinue use immediately. Other side effects such as oral irritations and gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g. Nausea) may occur.
PRECAUTIONS
Swallowing small amounts of this product, when used as directed, may occur and is not harmful. Ill-fitting dentures may impair your health. Visit your dentist regularly to check your denture fit. To keep tip from clogging, keep cap and nozzle dry.

Ingredients
Calcium/Sodium PVM/MA Copolymer, Petrolatum, Cellulose Gum, Mineral Oil.
Directions
Please keep this carton for the directions for use.
For the first time, use a small amount. Use more if needed. too much adhesive can cause oozing; apply less next time if this occurs. It may take a few tries to find the right amount for your denture. Apply once a day for secure hold. If you need to apply more than once a day, seek advice from your dental care professional.
Applying: 1. Clean and dry your dentures.
2. Apply product as shown in the diagram, not too close to denture edges.
A. Upper denture: Apply in a long continuous strip. Apply 2 shorter strips in the middle of the denture.
B. Lower denture: Apply product in a long continuous strip.
C. Partial denture: Apply 2 short strips.
3. Rinse mouth before inserting dentures.
4. Press dentures into place, hold firmly, and bite down for a few seconds to secure hold.
Removing:
1. Swish mouth with water, then slowly remove denture using a rocking motion.
2. Remove adhesive residue from denture and mouth with warm water and soft brush.
3. Use Polident Cleanser to thoroughly clean your denture and then rinse with water.
USAGE ADVICE
Refasten cap after use.
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
