MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

The Effaclar +M Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser by La Roche-Posay, with new active ingredient Phylobioma, targets the root cause of acne-prone skin. Powered By Microbiome Science. RECOMMENDED BY DERMATOLOGISTS In acne-prone skin, PH levels are typically higher than in normal skin, leading to an unbalanced microbiome. This can trigger blemishes and pimples. Effaclar +M Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser helps purify the skin while also maintaining the skin's natural pH balance. Directions
1. Wet face first with temperate water to open pores.
2. Apply a small amount of Effaclar +M Foaming Gel Cleanser.
3. Massage gently into the skin to form a lather. Apply gentle circular strokes on forehead, nose, chin & neck.
4. Rinse thoroughly with water.
5. Use Effaclar DUO+M Anti-Acne Moisturiser on cleansed skin to help target pimples and reduce recurrence.
Use morning and/or evening as a daily cleanser. Can also be used 1-3 times a week as a purifying pore cleanser.

I am 65and have very oily and sensitive skin. I don't have acne and never have but everything I use on my face gives me pimple like lumps - except this!. My skin is not oily and I never get a lump. It's the best cleanser I've ever used. The price is reasonable and will last me a couple of months using twice daily.

This is absolutely amazing - my skin is super oily and I have terrible acne. This along with the use of the La Roche Posay Serozinc toning spray also for oily skin, works fantastic. I highly recommend this to people who have oily, acne-prone skin because it is pleasant to use, non-irritating smells refreshing and clean, and you always feel very unclogged and fresh after use. I use this every single night, and I love this product - I would definitely use for a very long time. Highly recommend this for all teenagers.
