MULTIPLE PACKS
Dispensing multiple packs or multiple repeats of prescription medication
- As pharmacists we must always comply explicitly with your doctors prescribed directions this includes the quantity of the prescription goods to be supplied. Therefore the only time we can supply an increased quantity of a prescribed medicine is if the doctor prescribes that quantity for you.
AUTHORITY PRESCRIPTION
- Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS.
Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health.
Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number).
Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
But still pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has the necessary Authority code.

The pharmacist will determine if this product is appropriate for you and if so, approve the order. In the event that you do not do this, the product will be deleted from your order and the balance of your order will be dispatched.

General Information
Ginger is well known for its long historic use as both a culinary and medicinal herb. It has been used traditionally in both Ayurvedic and Chinese systems of medicine to help with many of the ailments for which it is still used today. It has been used traditionally to help relieve mild rheumatic aches and pains and digestive discomfort.

Why use Caruso’s Ginger?
Caruso’s Ginger utilises a specific ginger extract containing 2.5mg of the active constituents gingerols. Gingerols have an anti-inflammatory action which may help to relieve symptoms associated with mild Osteoarthritis such as joint pain, stiffness and swelling. The anti-inflammatory action has also been shown to help reduce period pain and cramping.
Caruso’s Ginger has been formulated for:
• Nausea
• Symptoms associated with motion/travel sickness
• Morning sickness
• Indigestion
• Digestive discomfort
• Symptoms associated with mild Osteoarthritis

• Those su?ering from symptoms of indigestion including dyspepsia, flatulence, bloating or nausea

Ingredients
Take at least 2 hours away from pharmaceutical medications.
Please use caution when using in conjunction with blood thinners.
Advise your doctor of any medicine you take during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester.
Directions
Directions for use:
For nausea and travel sickness: Adults and children over 12 take 1 tablet when required with food up to 4 times daily.
Children 6-12 years take half a tablet half an hour before travelling or when required with food up to 4 times daily.
For morning sickness: Adults take 1 tablet with food when required up to 4 times a day.
For symptoms of mild osteoarthritis and period pain: take 2 tablets daily with food or advised by your health professional.
